Brandi passante made an instant celebrity after her appearance on A&E's reality series 'StorageWars.' It also featured Jarrod Schulz, Passante's boyfriend for many years, and later husband. In the show, storage lockers that have not been paid their rent in the last three months go up for auction. Brandi and Jarrod of the Now and Then Thrift Store in Orange California participated in the show in hopes of acquiring affordable storage units. They had no idea that this show was going to become reality-TV superstars! Through the course of the show, their couple became a star. Their success on reality television helped their business which allowed them to grow. A spin-off titled Brandi & Jarrod: Married to the Job was created after their appearance on Storage Wars.
